Out The Peacock Mailbox
The roads were drifted
shut for six days during the Christmas Blizzard and
two days on another blizzard. The snowdrifts
buried our mailbox deeper with each blizzard.
We dug it out of the snowdrifts after one or two of
the blizzards and after that we could no longer dig
it out. We finally had to put up a temporary
mailbox in a snowdrift so we could receive mail.
